Your meme refers to the overall number of mice killed and as you know vegans dont equate to 50% of the population on average.

If they were 50% of the population then your meme would be correct.

Whereas, i understand you are meaning to say, 10 times more mice die to feed one meat eater than one vegan. Big difference and hence the reason i questioned your statement in the meme. Although I would be suprised that more mice would die as a result of meat production than in growing grains etc. which would make up a greater part of a vegan diet, no?

The logical analytical basis is per capita. Therefore the 10x coefficient. It's independent of the percentage of the population - or the numbers would actually be increased by the ratio of nonvegans to vegans.

When you argue a point on the basis of animal deaths, the premise is you care for the animals. Except you argued a carnivore diet perspective - which as I fairly pointed out, effectively voids the claim completely. Consistency is a reasonable expectation.

The American beef industry - and dairy with it - is not a grass-fed thing. Outside of the nasty regrinding up of other animals for re-feeding to cows (also a dangerous pathogen accelerator and concentrator), we grow grains and feed them that, on the basis that it fattens them faster.
