So you're willing to give up control of space to the Chinese, or the very same Russians that you probably complain about (falsely) colluding with Trump? If they're such a threat on firm ground, wouldn't they also be a threat in space?
You do know that our military (and of course our economy, too) is very dependent on satellites to effectively kill and destroy our enemies, right? If we just let those enemies have control of space, and take out our satellites, we'll be helpless to either economic or military attacks.
As usual, Trump is doing something good for the country, and people are acting like he doesn't know what's going on. But as usual, he's right, and they're wrong. They would hate and disagree with him no matter what good thing he does.
There were probably people like you around back when airplanes were first invented. "What do we need an Air Force for", is probably what they said back then. (yes, I know we had the Army Air Corps first. I'm making a point here.)
