Well, the state shouldn't commit acts which are wrong, of course not. My criticism of the government is that they don't always do it for a good cause, and because they over-stretch instead of focusing, they take more than they should give. It's not the simple fact tax exists. If the tax money was spent on good causes, that'll be fine.
But, let's look HS2, a high speed railway in Britain. Completely worthless, yet the Tory party (who I tend to favour) keep insisting it's all good.
That's not how tax-payer money should be spent. It should be spent to provide for the poor, the sick, those who can't find an opportunity, perhaps use it to jumpstart economies, to help build small businesses, or to defend our countries from those who seek who seek to tear it down from the outside, and help others.
Not to funnel into climate change hysteria, not to waste on high speed rails, not to give politicians a fancy new pool.
And they funnel so much into frivolous things, they leave little to none for what matters. They can tax people into oblivion, and are tied with so much bureaucracy, they don't do anything to the needs of the people.
