Being from the southern US, there are a lot of southernism's we use that much of the world doesn't really use or understand. For instance, if something is crooked or askew we'd say "that's lookin' a mite towards granny's house", or if it's about to rain it may be "comin' up a cloud". One of my favorites is "don't be borrowin' trouble", meaning worry about the present and not about the future and things you have no control over. Also a good one, "same gravy warmed over" means same difference.
