There we go! Now there can be a discussion...guards at hospitals makes more sense than at schools to me. Hiring guards for schools would incur costs on education budgets that are already stressed too thin. In schools, I'd be more in favor of arming teachers. The first target a school shooter would take out is a guard, then the whole school is unprotected. But if teachers are armed, the shooter doesn't know who has guns and who doesn't, which is a great deterrent. As a parent, I would feel much more comfortable sending my child to a school where I knew the teachers were packing.
