I actually think someone is going to take that swipe, if not multiple people. Joe Biden is the front-runner, and if they want any chance at the nomination - they need to take him out.
Someone is going to take a chance on that low hanging fruit. They will have all agreed to leave that topic alone, but if the democrats have shown us anything in the past several years - it's that they eat their own.
