Modern comic books are over-priced, politically pandering, overly edgy pieces of toilet paper that have no respect for the source material they are supposed to be adding onto, not rewriting. You pay nearly $4 for one comic book with only 10 pages of actual content, that is NEVER a complete story so you have to pay nearly another $16 to get the rest of the other 4 issues and majority of the times the "story" - if you could call it that - is nothing but politically correct garbage. The comic book industry isn't dying, It's being killed.
