Id have to say Tokyo Ghoul. It was my first series I watched to the end.(though it was hearing about black butler from a friend that introduced me to anime in general)
Me and my friends loved Yu-Gi-Oh! and Moomins. And we still do, largely because of the large number of parodies made in our native language which we still find hilarious. I'd send some, but it's pointless if you don't understand Serbian.

I used to love Yu-Gi-Oh when I was a kid. Even collected the cards.

Me too. I was a champion in my town and the neighbouring towns. But everyone thought I was cheating since I was the only one who knew English fluently at the time, and thus, had to explain everyone the card effects.

And btw, if you're interested in the Yu-Gi-Oh parodies, here's what many think to be the best one out there: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9JFrnebV1Hs
Don't expect to understand anything, though.

IDK if this counts but it’s the only Japanese animation I ever really been bothered about or liked.
It’s also been made into a live action film InRang: The wolf brigade. ( it’s on Netflix )
But they spoiled the ending of the live action one.
