What is it with people commenting and not upvoting lately?

It seems to be an epidemic. I comment on a lot of newbie memes and barely get a reply back, and when I do, they never upvote my comment. It won’t deter me from commenting, but I’ve been trying to give gentle nudges on the etiquette in the hopes that they’ll catch on.

Yeah...I've been letting users know as well...some listen, some don't...you know how it is.

When they see how many more upvotes/points/comments they get by doing this, then maybe more will do it... but yeah.
