You can support gay marriage all you want, but you can't drag children into this

Imagine a religious parent who's religion opposes gay practices, and he/she obeys these rules. He/she trusted Arthur and Toy Story as educational programs, and sat his/her young child down in front of those shows, only to see these sinful things. Imagine what his/her reaction would be! My mother for example, who, like me, is religious, kept these things away from me until I was a teenager, as all parents should. Children shouldn't learn about reproduction until their teen years, so the same should apply to gay marriage.

So the double standard is the existence of religious families. Religious families make up a majority of the population of mankind. Just keep these things away from kids. If you want them broadcasted, they should be rated as 12s or 15s.

'Why should networks have to set their guidelines according to your religious beliefs, or anyone else's? Who says you should get to decide what they show and what they don't? If a Hindu family is vegetarian, as many are, should networks not be allowed to show characters eating a steak or hamburger?'

Is the US a Hindu country? Last time I checked, it was a Christian country.

'Show me in either the Toy Story or Arthur clips where there is any sexual activity or reproduction going on. There isn't. They only show couples together, in totally nonsexual situations.'

A child would question why they are together, though. It is unnatural and wrong. They should just take these things off the air and end all the controversy. Also, no religious parent would want their children seeing gay people together at all, be it in sexual or nonsexual situations.

'That's your opinion. Some people say interracial relationships are "unnatural and wrong". Should we not show them on TV?'

Then they are not truly religious. All officially-recognised religions oppose same-sex marriage.

But they are not correctly obeying the laws of their religion, so they are distancing themselves from their faith. It should be their aim to get as close to their God as possible. Disobeying His laws is a good way of distancing yourself from him and hurting your soul.
