This might interest you if you want to put forth that notion to all other Christian religions.

There's nothing morally wrong with Christians celebrating something like passover, in fact the first time I experienced a Seder meal was at a Catholic Convent! You have to understand the deeper roots and meaning behind Jewish holy days which to them is preparing for the Savior who has yet to come. Just like they don't celebrate Christmas or Easter for the reasons Christians would. Do you personally feel Muslims should also celebrate Jewish or Christian feast days and we honor Al-Hijra?

I just think all Abrahamic faiths should celebrate Jewish holidays because Jesus, Mohammed, and the other Abrahamic prophets all celebrated those holidays. Hanukkah and Passover have nothing to do with the Jews anticipating the coming of the Messiah.

And then, we have the complications involving the Jewish holidays interfering with the Christian holidays. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to celebrate Passover during Lent, but it would be odd to have both Hanukkah and Christmas during December. The convenient time to celebrate Jesus’s birth is really the only reason why I thought that Christmas shouldn’t change from being on the same day as a Roman pagan holiday, but already having Hanukkah can be an excuse for Christmas’s date to change. Of course, we have to celebrate Christmas at some point, though. I guess it really doesn’t hurt too much to have two December feasts.

If you study the Jewish and Christian holidays like Christmas and Easter you will find they don't conflict but actually compliment eachother. Like Passover is the old testament Jewish commemoration of God sparing his people from death with the blood of the lamb. Holy week and Easter is the new testament Christian commemoration of God sparing his people from eternal death with the Blood of the Lamb. There are many other examples.

So you’re saying that’s another reason why we should celebrate Jewish holidays? If so, I agree. Another idea I had for Hanukkah is that it can be celebrated at a certain week of Advent, so that it doesn’t get too confusing with the holy calendar, especially since Hanukkah is a feast of 8 days.
