Creepy guy | BOOTY CALL | image tagged in creepy guy | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
A college acquaintance somehow either programmed my number into his phone incorrectly or would dial it by accident frequently at 2 or 3 AM when he was absolutely wasted at a bar somewhere, thinking that he was calling some chick who he apparently regularly hooked up with...I'd answer and he'd be surprised, like, who is this dude that answered her phone. In his drunken state, it would take him a few minutes to realize that it was me and he had called by mistake. This went on for about 3 years, and I'd get a call about once a month. I finally told him to just delete my number if the only reason he was calling was to wake me up in the middle of the night for no reason.

DO PEOPLE NOT LEARN ANYTHING FROM THEIR MISTAKES? | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
Drunk people never seize to amaze me with their stupidity. I wouldn't have waited 3 years to tell him to lose my number. I always panic when I get a late phone call, I assume that something terrible has happened.

If I were you, I'd start recording the calls and teasing the drunken acquaintance for a good few laughs among you and your friends.

I was moving from my apartment to one much closer to work that I had to walk to. One of my closest friends called and said he got kicked out of his parent's house and needed a place to stay. So I canceled my plans and let him move in...

Just in time for him to be fired from his job and the police to show up and serve him with a restraining order for punching his girlfriend at work...SIgh...

But wait! It gets worse!

I told him I could afford the rent and everything else, but I had just moved to the opening shift and needed to be at work at 5am and I only needed him to drive me to work. First morning I get up and have to call a cab because he's not there. Next day I get up earlier enough to leave if I have to walk and sure enough, he's not there. I actually never saw him again at the apartment.

Why?

My downstairs neighbor told me he was waiting for me to leave to come home and then left before I got back. What was he doing? Playing poker all night and golfing all day. I had to change the locks and then I dumped all his stuff on his parent's driveway in the rain and started looking for a new place closer to work again.

But that's not the end of the story!

My parent's were moving back to Florida and needed me to stay in their house until it sold so I rented a moving truck and packed everything I owned into it to make one trip. The truck suffered a complete electrical failure in the middle of a bridge. Kinda fun being screamed at by a cop because I had put on my hazard lights and watch him not be able to too. So at least there was that.

Sounds like someone you were better not having In your life. On the plus side it makes for a great story to tell.

First day of the second grade in highschool (nine days ago), our class was greeted with a new... not sure how it's called in english, but it's that one professor who takes care of a certain class of students. Our old one took a year off because of pregnancy.

Anyways, she talked about the subject she'll teach us, a few things about her personal life, etc. Anyways, in the middle of her speech, my phone rang (and I think I've already mentioned what my ringtone sounds like, and the phone speakera were blasting). She said, and I quote: "Usually, I wouldn't tolerate this, but this is my first day of my job, so I'll forgive it this time." I assumed that means I was allowed to answer the call. I picked up my phone, answered the call, and was greeted with my friend who called me saying he just got out of his school and is wondering what is taking me so long (he got into trouble in his school, as well, but for another reason, and that's another story). I replied I'm still in my school and will call him later, and I ended the call.

At that moment, she said to me: "Get out". I said: "I finished my call. There's no need." She said again: "Get out". I left the classroom with a weirded-out smile.

First, and (for now) the last time I ever got kicked out of a class. I did thank my friend who called me later because I got out earlier than everyone else.
