If you hit Back, it doesn't show, but it IS still there. Hit Refresh and you'll see it.

That is what I do. But after refresh I still have to re up vote. I just feel bad leaving a comment and my up vote doesn't work. I've noticed it work on only a few memes for some reason. But most of them it does not.
