So I see France had 2 school shootings since 2009. However,In 2015 alone France had more casualties or killings from mass public shootings than the U.S. has suffered during Obama’s entire presidency 508 to 424.

It's about the kids but it isnt.

Well that is a way to play with statistics and an outlier...... American has regular mass shootings every single year, France had the Paris attacks in 2015 by Islamic terrorists that killed 130 people in one attack. Every other year American beats every other developed country into a very distant 2nd place.

I'd love to know where you go those figures from, I remember one NRA nut using the US figures from 2009 to 2016 and using France's one off in 2015 as a comparison. (He even added the injured to the French figure to make it look worse). You know the NRA are desperate when they are trying to roll these arguments out and hope no one notices...

I'm on tablet at moment but still have page open on computer with source for numbers can get later.

But just looking on tab and there seems to be other references to the same. I searched "how many people died in French mass shootings 2015"

France may be an outlier event but statistically your odds of dying over that eight year period in France are better than would have been if you where in America for the same period.

And as you asked about the where for my numbers I will mention something I think your aware of. The where of course is only a bit part in the accuracy of the numbers. The how you derived the numbers is more important.

You will find {forgetting about whether cnn is accurate }that when they tell you numbers for school shootings they are accounting the information from police reports. The numbers include when a firearm has been discharged on school grounds, accidental shots into the ground etc and driveby shootings that occur into school grounds. This greatly exaggerates those statistics.

Also when referring to mass shooting events I.e 4 or more people wounded they dont count the shooting if they dont find/charge a suspect. This is good for skewing statistical representation of who is doing the shooting as the unsolved shootings just happen to occur in certain high crime zones.

But anyway, I was just saying what I wrote because I dont think more control will solve the problem as most are mental defective people and it's mental health issues that needs reform.

Well let's say the figures are out by 30% which is a huge margin, that still leave 201 school shootings in the US and zero everywhere else. It's sad that people want to argue a point when kids are dying.

"School shootings" the way we're thinking about it. A crazy person goes into a school and starts shooting. There have been 23 in the past 100 years in the US. The CCN numbers are correct...but they count any shooting close to a school...and most of those shootings are gang violence.
