Seriously, you make good point. Names and meanings get twisted in politics. That doesn't make me feel any better about these two, or socialism. Having to interpret their intended meaning because we can't trust their words leaves too much room for misinterpretation and confusion.
And it is kind of ironic that they refer to their enemies as nazis, considering that the nazis called them themselves socialist (I'll let others argue about whether they actually were 'true' socialists or not).
