Toxic Acceptance

Because it’s not the same thing. Spring break is not accepted. Spring breakers don’t protest everyone else to have their wild party everyday, everyday, whether you like it or not. It was the same as spring break, at one point, maybe, until we got to the point of acceptance. Then it became something else. Something toxic. It’s a type of acceptance that is all about being offensive.

Realistically, yes. You are more likely to be ostracized and lose a job for spring break than dry humping other homosexuals in a leather g-string in public. Because the law doesn’t protect spring break, but it protects homosexuals. I’m not arguing for different standards. It is no better for homosexuals to engage in simulated sex acts in public that it is for anyone else. Heterosexuals are literally arrested for it now. Almost everywhere.

Gay pride should not be about dry humping in the street while dressed like a freak. How does that go with fighting for marriage rights? The message is a mess. I’m all for treating people with fairness and dignity. But dignity requires dignity.

If they’re doing this, they should be fired straight or gay.
