no, Reagan had nothing to do with the toppling of the berlin wall. that speech did little to start the collapse of east Germany. the joke is that 32 years ago, a republican president wanted to tear down walls along borders. now, a republican president wants to build walls along borders.

The walls were for different purposes. A wall between the US and Mexico is needed!

Also, the Berlin wall divided one city into two parts. The US/Mexico border wall is different. We need to control who gets in and how they get into the US.
