The people seldom want to do for themselves, but nearly always want and demand all to be done for them. They expect to be spoonfed knowledge (or some filling semblance thereof), burped, their boo-boos kissed, asses wiped, and their diapers changed; . . . . all the while being told they are 'big boys', well able to do whatever they please . . . while a watcher waits nearby, ever ready to rescue them from whatever disaster their childish minds can create.
