Self checkouts, good idea or not?

I hate them. Half the time they don't work and the shop assistant has to come over.

When I have 4 squirming kids and exhausted from walking 10 miles through isles for my food and will have to apply for a small loan to pay for it all don't ask me to scan and bag everthing when the people you hired and pay to do that just stand there and watch me.

Yes, blame the grocery store that you pumped out 4 kids in 3 years.

What's more likely to happen is they'd start charging a service fee for using a cashier like lots of store are doing now charging for bags and buggies

And if you shop where I do there will be a total of 2 aisles out of 20 actually open. And they're both for 15 items or less. What's the deal?

Its about cutting human jobs and making you do their work for them to increase profits.

Wish it was like the old days. The mom and pop stores where you felt good about giving your money to honest people.

Oh, I hate self checkouts. My hubby always wants to use them, but then fusses when they don't work (about half the time!)
