I tried once before to get him to type what he was saying in Russian. If we can get him to do that we may be able to translate it some other way and figure out what he is saying.

Russian alphabet is crazy tho! I can speak basics, i mean like basics, In fact its Lithuanian I speak basic tbh, it used to be Russia but the language there is different all over, same as Polish, different regions!! Welcome to Europe Nixie!! Maybe learning his language will be fun! Fyi the Russian people are awesome btw:)

I always wish I would have taken time in my life to learn other languages! I would love to be able to communicate more effectively. It's not too late to learn, I just wish I had known 30 years ago what I know now! LOL. Thanks for what ever help you were able to offer. We will smooth out this wrinkle in communication one way or another.

I find languages fascinating, but you have to keep on top of it or you forget. At my last place of work I got that used to speaking Polish the Poles forgot I was English!! My friend would speak too fast sometimes and I would go "Woah wtf?" He actually forgot I was English tho!! I am gunna meme MrRed some Russian anywayz, why? fun! It means a lot when you try to communicate in their tongue, really

I have hung on pretty well to what Spanish I learned years ago, I teach my kids what I do know. They will actually be doing a language this year, not sure which one though. Spanish is a good starting language. And there is a lot of opportunity to use it around here so they can practice in real life.
