Pretty disingenuous meme. When you consider that the critique does not account for the fact that the low base created by the GFC is the only reason any of the numbers favour Obaahma. The decline begun before his election and the bottom was March 2009 a few months into Obamas term.

Because the DJIA was so low, Obama had a 28% increase in his first year despite the market bottom being reaches under his watch and all the gains to the markets over his terms were based upon near zero interest rates and record bailouts to big business.

Fun fact....Obama recorded the fastest drop in the last 100 years of a newly elected president in just over a 10 week period.

It took until mid February of 2012 for the DJIA to reach the level it held 4 months before the bottom reached in the 2009.

Nevermind during this time that people lost their houses because of being given sub prime loans which Obama had a hand in making possible in his former life as a lawyer on a team which won a court case on discriminatory lending practices which in turn created a supreme court ruling. Which meant people who couldnt afford repayments once interest reached even 2% were given loans. Fueling the housing bubble further.

Again this all points to the fact that Obama did not have to do jack to achieve the stated 60.53% gain.

It's a wonder under Trump that there has been any gains made in the DJIA, because the market had been inflated beyond what the rest of the world markets have produced in the same time as Obama's reign. This I repeat all occured as a result of near zero interest rates and enourmous, record cash injections to business as bailouts. If you could factor in the difference real interest charges on borrowings cause to business and consumer activity his record is pretty pathetic and the Trump numbers become all the more impressive.

Of course it's only a matter of time when the bubble bursts again and it probably should have already. So the meme maker will be able to make another meme then confirming his biases. I was merely making the point in my post that whatever anyone wants to claim about Obummer it was all done in a period following recession with many obvious boosters to kickstart an economy. The prevalent opinion around the world had been that left leaning parties were not as capable as right leaning parties in matters economic. And so for about 15 years now the left leaning parties have been trying desperately to quash this. Truth is that probably neither party in America can claim superiority on the economy. However, I would prefer less red tape always and that in particular is a Demo specialty at adding. The economy is cyclical and so we are due or overdue a downturn and that is the Trump miracle at the moment. It hasnt burst yet and hopefully can defy trend.
