She was banned bc she is affiliated with an organization that is boycotting Israel. The conundrum here is: an American Congresswoman is actively doing this. So, does she get an exception? So, it's NOT all Israel. They did, "because" she is an American Congresswoman, make exception (with conditions) so that she could go and see her beloved Grandma. But, she said, No! Forget it. At THAT point, she proved to me that it wasn't about her Grandma, because IF "MY" GRANDMA was 90+ years old... I'd meet Israel halfway.... she chose not to, so..... being an American Congresswoman doesn't give you, in MY opinion, a blank check from the consequences of one's political positions, when you're the one needing entrance. ijs

I agree, but.... Most countries won't play that tic-for-tac game. Israel is an exception, and will error on the side of their security, because the likes of our Congresswoman have vowed to destroy, and wipe Israel off of the map. So, unlike in America, where the press likes to make her the victim, her chess game is A LOSS over in Israel.

For whatever reason, I cannot reply to your LAST QUESTION: Can the EU ban Externally. OF COURSE. If that is the consensus, after debate and "The EU" asserts that right... THEY DEFINITELY CAN. However... what are the consequences? Such a move has to know the unintended consequences as well, and if they feel that they STILL can thrive and survive... then, JUST like Israel.... Yes. They can do it. God bless them

As to the second, you see my point was that Governments and Super-National organisations shouldn't be allowed to ban people from entering it, because they share diffrent opinions. I thought if I put the rights (Atleast on Imgflip) celevration of Israels ban in such away as to find themselves the most likely targets of such a travel ban, they might understand why its quite undemocratic to restrict freedom of movement because there is a difference in opinion.
