It goes in cycles. Part of it the repetition of many of the themes. New comers thinking their submissions are fresh, but we've seen them a thousand times. And then magic strikes and there will be a day to two of comedic gold.

My advice, take a break for a bit. Lurk now and then and when you have a good meme you want to share, return.

Kids are starting to infiltrate, and try as they may, they're overall not quite as meme-savvy as some of us older folk are. There are some diamonds in the rough as well as rare gems, though.

Ya know. I do VERY much agree! Many slap comedy and relatable working hard jokes from ya older people :D
Though on the contrary (yees fine, I’m on the defense with my generation Z.. respectively of course! 8Y) how i see it now a days kids are using a more abstract artistic approach. For example, cursed images are astounding to me. It has a double meaning to it. Not only are they visually humorous (to me at least) but something is up with them..It’s dark, contained, discreet, and for what? It’s outrages over all! Insanity is what I call it. Quite sad if ya ask me :/

Side note: sorry if I go off, I’m very curious and like to analyze a buncha things. It’s noooo offense at all. Just talking as it is naive of me 😅
