nothin' wrong with that brutha. I've turned myself into a bbq snob, can't go many places out to eat and enjoy bbq as good as my own. I'm on the grill two or three times a week at least if not more. And there's nothing better than pulling a beer can chicken or rack of ribs off the fire and eating it fresh, all the anticipation of knowing how good it will be and what the payoff for tending it is...yeah that just makes it even better. Don't know how far this tradition makes it out of the south but we do collard greens and black eyed peas as a traditional meal at new years, and mac and cheese plus some sort of pork usually makes its way into the mix. That's one of my favorite meals ever. Last year I smoked a boston butt and made pulled pork with that, had the collard greens and peas, the wife made a mac n cheese casserole, and we had homemade cornbread out of a cast iron skillet...doesn't get much better than that. What's the best meal you've made?
