I hate this. I think they could have found a better way. I despise all these drop down menus we are accumulating. BUT I saw this and knew you would be thrilled! You have really been asking for this for a very long time! I was really surprised to see it. So while I don't like it I am happy to see you get what you have really wanted! Maybe it will come in handy in some way.

Where would you put the button for sorting by Top? Or do you think it's simply not useful enough to even exist?

Remember how it was hot and latest side by side? I would still have that only put the drop down yet a third button. So Hot, latest, popular (top.. what ever term you would choose).

Now whether it's really useful is subjective. I don't see myself using it, but I know some who love it and have already been making use of it. Just like the following. Some of us love it and have applied it liberally, while others ignore the feature. Just kind of depends on what people are looking to do. So I wouldn't want it to be removed from people who like it, just maybe rearranged so I don't have to always click a drop down for latest. I browse the latest the most. It now is one more click to see latest. I am always opposed to more clicks.

I have a browser extension that has popular separate buttons for commonly use features and a drop down list for the less popular ones.

The only minor complaint I have is there isn't an option to see the ALL TIME upvoted memes in one place. You have to go through each year, etc. BUT I am not complaining. This option I've been begging for for a couple years. I just like it because it's an interesting feature and it adds more excitement to the site. At least that's how I see it. I found out there are way more 500+ and 600+ upvoted memes than I thought.

I have only seen one meme up voted 600+ since I have been here. I would be interested to see just how many there actually are. I know my most up voted had around 275 if I'm not mistaken.

There are seven 600+ upvoted memes this year alone. I thought there were only a handful of those all time, but nope. I don't know, I feel like a kid going through Christmas presents for some reason and I'm in my 40's. lol!

I may go through that later on just to see.

Just 5 months ago too! That had to sit at the top of the front page for a while. So it's nuts that I missed it!

Yeah, I hated it. It was on the front page for about a week. Then there were copycats that decided to make their literal beg for upvotes memes that literally said "upvote this meme."

That's why I created the begging for upvotes stream

I think those types of memes are irritating, unless they are posted in the begging for up votes stream. But again, many users are only interested in points and not meaningful interaction. So it's just a difference in what we came for I guess.
