My method is (try) quality over quantity, people cant see what I did if I over meme it so I do 2/3 subs per day, and I spend most time in generator, I like creating when I can, comments second and whatever after that really!!;)

Yeah. May that is why i dont have as popular memes. But 1 submissions is quite a few points.

I notice a lot of your memes don't get a lot of votes, and I think it's because you are churning them out in a great quantity. You cannot have good quality and high quantity. Same goes for comments. A generic "LOL" doesn't go a very long way.

If points are you only motivator here I will tell you what is a fact. If you focus on making a few quality memes each day, and making good legit conversation you will get MORE points. Because you will have something more worthy of an up vote. A blank image of someone laughing just isn't as funny or interesting as a relevant comment is. So you will find that you must make more comments to try and get ahead. People view this generic activity as point panhandling. You have made triple the memes I have in your few months here, and honestly we are doing about the same in the points department. My activity is up one day and down the next, so I do fluctuate. But really, we aren't that far apart. I also don't do it just for points. I draw genuine enjoyment from a good meme thread. You will rarely see me make a generic comment. If I don't have something relevant I up vote and come back later if I think of something.

From day 1 in here I have more fun in the generator, Nixie got me hooked on threads, upvotes are validation but your comments go accordingly. Try to know your user, I dont swear on threads that are non swearers (i try) and find common ground best I can. I am gunna go on a comment run this week, so less subs, I feel other users are not getting the love as some of em are very very good at this game and have 1/2 upvotes and that is bugging me really here, so I'm gunna bomb them with memes LOL

Lose track of why you came here in the first place once the points get a grip, I like you don't care about any of all that, although milestone memes make me giggle sometimes. Flippers can't avoid milestones even if they tried so having fun there is cool.

I don't see an issue with this sort of thing necessarily. It kind of adds to the fun a little bit. And people celebrating a goal isn't so bad either. The thing that bugs me is when people become SO consumed by it that they become focused solely on quantity and not at all on quality in order to gain points. SO yeah, some users here do take it TOO seriously. Which is what I was trying to explain here. Just RELAX and have fun in comments and don't try churning out memes just for the sake of gaining. If you really enjoy what you are doing you will end up with points enough to make the heart content. Hopefully. Because your activity will be MEANINGFUL and not generic.

I come here because it helps me hang on to my sanity. I get a good dose of hilarity and good creative exercise. I feel like if I ever made a meme celebrating a milestone it is more of a thank you to all of the people I meme with daily who have by default helped me through depression, anxiety and panic as well as the lemons life has handed me. If I want to post at the 3 million mark to say thank you for all the fun and laughs, that shouldn't be an issue. Because to ME these points reflect just what I have described. The friendships I have gained and the fun we all have together. Because that is where it came from for me. And I am sure that is where it came from for a lot of others. That and making memes that others have laughed at or found relatable or therapeutic in some way.

Actually I don't. I was just explaining to Peewee that obsessing over points can lead to less points because the memes and comments become generic. I am here for the pleasure of it, not the points. I do not struggle to gain. Just encouraging him to lighten up a little.

You may not realize this a conversation that comes up now and the between us and you have not been there for prior discussions therefore are essentially catching a small part of what we have talked abut.

It's all good. Online leaderboards, points, star ratings and such are a pet peeve of mine. Ppl need better goals in life. If ppl put effort into more important things like they do getting e-attention this society would be much better off. But sadly online attention is all anyone wants these days. I smh every time I see someone on here making a meme when they hit a certain amount of points. It's sad it's so important to some. People just take this stuff too seriously imo. I enjoy everyone's stuff and there are some good people and posters on here but some take it way to far. Anyway, I'll get off my soap box. Laterz...

Actually ive only made a few today. Im just looking for a million points. But i will take your advice.

You will get a million soon. Definitely by about Friday at the most.
The thing is, if people feel that you are only gathering points and not really into anything else you will end up with less points and have to work twice as hard to gain. If you are having fun in comments and making relevant remarks you not only give people a reason to up vote your comment, but they will also engage which will lead to more comments and more votes. But if it's not genuine it won't work that way. I challenge you to let go of the point expectations and just have fun here. You'll gain your points but also have a better time at it.
Also, if have your regular people that you comment with a lot it helps you. OVER TIME I have developed regular communications with quite a few people. Just because I like their memes and make a point to always comment. It gets to be more fun too because you get the element of familiarity with certain jokes and things.
