My Manager was a prime example of how not to manage. One rule was if you are talking you are not working and if you are not working you are stealing from the company. His last try at being the a-hole of the year was our department worked an 8 hour shift, but the production floor worked a 12 shift and the contract specified that they could be made to work 14 if their relief did not show up and he want to force us to work the 14 hours too despite only being one shift with no relief ever.

It was while we were fighting this that HR came through with two US Marshals. They came out of his office with him in handcuffs with one on either side holding an arm. We actually started waving and dancing as he was removed!

Oh...his crime? Child molester. Surprised? I wasn't.

Not a boss but a coworker. She liked to start trouble at one time even getting a team mate fired by posting a personal video on social media (which involved a client and the teammate hanging out at a park). I turned the tables and anonymously reported her social media account to supervisors in which she was constantly posting things about our clients. She didn't know who did it so she unfriended and texted everyone in the department threatening to get them fired. She was gone soon after.

I worked with a co-worker that use to delight in saying things to people to set them off and he would go back to his corner and giggle about it. When it was my turn I turned the tables and him and refused to rise to the bait. He ran to our manager to complain he couldn't work with me.

Now I had an agreement when I got hired that I would not work second shift, so he put me on third. We didn't have a third so I was there by myself. Thanks to our time keeping system of everything you did had to be in 6 minute increments I could fill my time card in the first 2 hours and then I would watch movies on my 13" TV I kept in my car or read books as we were a printing plant and had a huge library. Then I would start working again when the early arrivals would show up.

Best is I got a great review for how much work I was getting done unsupervised because of my time cards. It didn't last though. As soon as we were done printing the first three Harry Porter books when they came to America they shut us down and moved everything south stealing most of the pension funds along the way.

Fortunately I've always had great bosses, so I can't say that I have had the pleasure. I did have a supervisor let go once that basically talked the talk but never walked the walk, and everyone knew it. We were basically just waiting to see how long it took for management to get rid of him.
