This is true and I have seen it for myself. Having worked waiting tables and in retail, one rotten and rude customer can ruin the day. However one really nice one can turn it around. Smile at strangers, and say nice things if you feel them. Tell that lady she looks nice, or has a nice dress or hair or something. etc.. You never know who is struggling or with what. A kind word of gesture can go a very long way.

yeah it can......i know I've had terrible days where I thought I was just...just ugly as all get out, and then people would complimetn me, and I'd feel so much better....it's nice to have people do that....
