My grandfather committed suicide when I was about 7 years old. Still remember it well, 27 years ago and its engrained in my head. Suicide is never worth it, anyone that sees this and has considered it please seek help!

Whoa. Can't imagine what it must've been like.

I considered suicide about three-four years ago. I got over it with these thought that even now remain in my head:
"Humans are too interesting of a species to leave out on their fascinating behaviour"
"I'll reincarnate, so what's the point, anyways?"
"I'm too unmotivated to kill myself"
Studying and practicing Stoicism also helped a lot.
And because I got over my suicidal tendencies, I no longer fear death. So that's nice.

Good for you, I'm glad you overcame those thoughts! No more fear of death...that's pretty cool.

I used to think about suicide when I was very very young, like still in the first half of Elementary School.
Luckily, I appreciate life way more now. And yes, suicide is a really big problem and people with suicidal thoughts should seek help as soon as possible.

haven't see you on in a while! it's a sickness, and it breaks my heart to see anyone experiencing those feelings. I'm glad you have been able to move past it, life is beautiful and it is a gift, not to be thrown away.

I say the worst thing that has happened to me was finding out at 8 years old that I had a tumor on my spine that could have left me paralyzed. Luckily that turned out to be very small. I had the operation when I was 11

They could fix my knees, but I would be wheelchair bound for at least six weeks. I rather live with the pain

Oof

Why not? A wheelchair for six weeks doesn't sound that bad considering the long-term benefits.

My English is limited, and this one is hard to describe even in my native laguage, so I'll have to drop a few details.

Essentially, a chest fell on my right toe thumb, leaving a big, black stain that remained there for two-three months.

I guess it runs in the family. My father and his father also had bad times with their thumbs, except theirs were MUCH worse than mine was.

This answer seems kind of weird, but I have to say one of the worst experiences in NY life was my cat dying. It may not seem like such a big deal, but at the time it happened our family was in chaos. There was lots of people getting hurt, someone in our family who's not mentally well was making death threats, and someone else was drunk every day. During g that time i didn't have any friends, and I would just lay on my cat at night and Cry and tell him how I felt..... When he died all that was taking away from me, and since then I've rather been on a downward spiral....

Getting a phone call one morning it was my mom sobbing on the phone that my young brother had just died. His heart stopped, he was young healthy and to this day we don't know why. I had just had a baby and we had to fly across country for the funeral. Worst day of my life by far. He was my best friend. I still can't think of him without tearing up.

Oh wow thats sad. Wow it rough when anyone dies. But its way worse when someone young dies. Maybe because alot of older people are ready to go or maybe have health problems. But someone young....it is just so...so... sad know that someone young won't experience life as in seeing years and such

I understand you, I have similar problems, and I'm 14. Just remember that you still have a life ahead of you and where you believe it or not things will get better! The world's always trying to knock you down, won't let it keep you there ☺
