I have lived in California, Indiana, South Carolina and Idaho. I liked California but it is just too nuts and unstable. I love Idaho because it is beautiful, great weather and good people.

I'm sorry but Indiana and Illinois are crummy. Roads are terrible
That's a hard one. I haven't spent more than a few days in only limited parts of each state, but I've visited about a third of them so my experience is all based on a specific landmark or area in each one. Arizona for the Grand Canyon is hard to beat. Colorado, at the base of the Rockies is very majestic. I'm partial to my Appalachians though, so of the states I've been to that call them home I'd say Virginia is the prettiest. All the rolling hills, countryside, and up into the mountains just speaks to me. Kentucky is also very pretty, in and around Lexington.
Never been there, but I'm sure its gorgeous. I'd love to go some time. The Pacific northwest is a really pretty region too, Oregon especially. Lots of evergreens and mountains plus coastline. And its actually a fairly temperate region.

Different parts of different states are better than other parts of those states. New Jersey has some beautiful areas and then it has the coast near NYC. That said, I love where I am now in New England. It's my third coast and I have traveled through the eastern seaboard many times.
But it comes down to what you know and where you grew up. I go to NYC and I hate it. The people that lived there their entire lives love it. Now had you asked most beautiful part of each state....We have stayed in Charleston SC and Savanna Georgia the last two years and those cities are great. Troy New York has a great down town and Concord New Hampshire is nice, but Keene New Hampshire is better.
And Florida? I like Vero Beach on the east coast. I haven't been back to Tampa or Clearwater in years.

Hate’m
When I moved to the area I was told I had to be a Sox fan by just about everyone. Now growing up in Florida, college football ruled the day and baseball came to practice and leave. Nobody cared about them. Then suddenly I have to be a fan? Ain’t happening.
Hell I only remembered that baseball was being played when the all star break started showing up on commercials.
