I never understood why it wasn't this way from the start. I guess a lot of trial and error is going on these days with all these new streams and such. Sort of a thing where we have to discover a need before it is thought of. But yeah. I really hope to see this happen.

It would have only made sense in my opinion.

We'll probably make a change to improve this at some point, maybe allow users to re-submit the same image again if it gets disapproved from a particular stream due to "wrong stream".

Automatically switching memes into other streams would open a big can of worms though, since it would encourage users to just choose the wrong stream every time and let the mods choose everything for them, making a lot more work for the mods. It would also allow users to effectively gain more submissions per day for a given stream, because they could just submit e.g. 10 political memes across 5 different streams and count on the mods to move them all into a politics stream. There are also often multiple streams to which an image would be a valid submission, and users may not want mods to make the decision for them about where it should go.

My problem is with how mods are able to just decide whether or not a meme should be in a particular stream or not. I have had multiple memes either not get featured or get unfeatured because a mod determined it was political in nature when it wasn’t. Had one removed for claims of harassment with no explanation as to how it was harassment. What should happen as well is whatever mod decides to unfeatured a meme, they should leave a comment explaining why, and actually have a discussion about it if the person wants to. The reality is, while some memes are valid submissions in multiple streams, the mods are making the decision of where it should go by letting it be featured or unfeaturing it. Whether us users want it or not, it is already happening.

AT THE VERY LEAST, if you get unfeatured, you get a submission back. So you don't lose your subs for the day! It's only fair, especially if they won't allow a user to appeal the unfeature penalty.

The one thing I think they would be able to adjust for as well is if a mod just moves the move to whatever thread, it would remove an available submission for you on that thread as well. Which would mean it would still only allow for 2 submissions into that thread instead of creating a loophole to have 3 or more.

I was kind of thinking that too. I am glad you posted this because maybe now they will think about it a little more. I have seen lately a lot of requests for features and settings come about. So they are listening to us a lot these days. Maybe yours will be fulfilled too. It would make a lot of people happy that's for sure!
