Sort of....after another stop at the moon

It's our own fault really. We (Americans as a whole) are electing people that focus on dumb things and not ones who could increase NASA's budget

Obviously, I would like to see the US to be the first ones back. But I see it as an amazing human achievement regardless of what country does it

We have one but our tax revenue pails on comparison to Americas. Also we have communication towers in Australia there were essential in the moon landing and many other nasa programs due to there geographical location

Cool thing about our modern times is that's all tracked through satellites. The global ground based radar was essential to the success of space flight back then.
NASA's budget these days is practically nothing compared to what it was. It used to be 4% of the total US federal budget. Now it's more like 0.04%

I visited the site when I was a kid I even got to touch some tiles from one of the space shuttles, very inspiring stuff
Yeah its had some cuts but private enterprise should fill the gaps a 20 billion budget is nothing to laugh at things like space x and the European program could do it if the pooled there resources

We have an air and space museum out here and a couple of the contractors that NASA had working for them have facilities out here. But nothing near as cool as something tangeable like that

Trust me Australia is boring as hell lol
