In 2015, people were up in arms about a mixed race girl (black father/ white mother) playing a black girl from a cartoon in the live action remake. Just because of one thing; her skin color "wasn't dark enough" and "didn't 'look' like the original character. They did the same thing when Aladdin was made a live action because Jasmine was not played by an Arab girl.
