Seriously, the great beers make bland chili

or mix it into a sauce reduction with balsamic to serve with roasted pork...mmm. other than that, generally speaking yeah the cheap pilsners are the best to cook with. i tried cooking with an IPA once thinking it would dress up the dish a lot, but it actually just turned everything very very bitter. i was not impressed.

Tried Guinness, Sam Adams, a local porter I really like and a couple of brown ales. This batch I used the new Bud aged in bourbon barrels and it is my best in a long time

I have a recipe for a Guinness cake, I have never made it but I was thinking of giving it a shot.

Either way is good
