When I saw this meme, my first thought was, “why is this in the political stream”? The mods did the same to me a couple of weeks ago and I just decided not to submit since everything in politics gets trolled so badly:-(

Like my church growing up was totally in the tank for the Republican party, but everyone I know left that type of church. I'm not sure which is worse, inviting Republican lobbyists to preach from the pulpit, or having the president sign Bibles. Didn't know the manipulation was still that bad.

I prefer having God influence my laws, rather than man influencing my morals. I honestly would not have ANY person sign my Bible. Unless, of course, it's a gift and someone added a note in there, but that's still different from a complete autograph.

"I prefer having God influence my laws, rather than man influencing my morals." Yes, when I was a Christian, that's the sort of thing we would say, but in practice we would do the opposite, and believe whatever the Republican party told us to believe.

That's sad that we've (collectively) fallen that far.
