I graduated 30 yrs ago+ (Honor roll) Had no $$ for college , not enough Lenape Native American blood in me to get a scholarship at the time but what if everyone wants to goto college ? who is going to pay for it?

There will be no tax payers who could not afford college. That's the point. That's the idea. The only thing holding anyone back would be do you have the grades and do you want to?

well I have (had 30 yrs ago) the grades and if It was free I would want to then and now but that will be an exuberant cost .
What do you say about someone like me? My school records are probably gone. I do have the article in the paper for "honor roll" circa 1980's and a plaque on the wall.

So that's the question that Sanders is getting at. It's not that far-fetched - a lot of industrialized countries have free universities. Scottish universities are completely free to Scottish students, doesn't bankrupt them. Norway's schools are completely free and they're not even that fussy about the student being Norwegian; doesn't bankrupt them. There's no reason we couldn't make it work if we wanted it enough.
