Commas there are grammatically optional. It depends on how much of a pause I wanted to add. I obviously didn't choose much of a pause.
Even though they may be short, all declarative sentences need a period at the end, or a semicolon if you're following up with another related sentence.
Also why would I not want to capitalize well in that situation? It was the first word in my sentence.
