"Every major company" only "shills" for us because they want to get money from our happiness.
You don't know how tolerant each person's community is. Some people may never get bullied for being who they are, while others could get physically bullied (i.e. Punching, kicking, torturing) or verbally assaulted (i.e. "F*ggot" "f*g" "homo" ), and on the very end of the spectrum are those that literally decide to stop living because of people who can't get it through their thick-headed skulls that other people's love does not affect your life in any way whatsoever. I know that in my old middle school there was almost nobody who would stick up for a gay kid if they were getting bullied.
Additionally, straight people do not need a whole month dedicated to their sexuality because they never had to fight for their right to be straight. They have never been bullied, killed, tortured, assaulted, abused simply because they like a person of the opposite gender.
