I'll get one of my friends to give an explanation . You can probably find something on Wikipedia or Google.

The Big Bang and the universe itself points to God. There are 2 very solid arguments from science which points to the existence of God. The Cosmological and Teleological arguments.

1. Everything which begins to exist has a cause. 2. The universe began to exist. 3. Therefore the universe has a cause.

The universe consist of TIME, SPACE and MATTER. The cause then is TIMELESS, SPACELESS and IMMATERIAL. While more flushing is needed, these are the descriptions of what we call God - a TIMELESS, SPACELESS, IMMATERIAL being. ALL POWERFUL because He created the universe.

1. Every design has a designer. 2. The universe has highly complex design. Therefore, the universe had a designer.

Below are quotes from Nobel Prize winners, none of whom were Christians.

Arno Penzias – “The best data we have (concerning the Big Bang) are exactly what I would have predicted had I had nothing to go on but the five books of Moses, the Psalms and the Bible as a whole.”

Robert Wilson – “Certainly there was something that set it all off.... I can’t think of a better theory of the origin of the universe to match Genesis.”

George Smoot – “There is no doubt that a parallel exists between the big bang as an event and the Christian notion of creation from nothing.”

If the Cosmological Argument has flaws then which premise is flawed and how does it not lead to the conclusion? I did state that more information is needed to find out about the cause. We do know that little or big bangs both need a cause. I need not know what caused the cause to know that the universe had a cause. We do know that an infinite regress is impossible and we need not go further(thus Occam’s Razor). It was agued among atheist for centuries that the universe was eternal and then we discovered that it wasn’t. It had a beginning and it seems that something outside of the universe is eternal.

The first line of the Bible lines up perfectly with the Big Bang as it states that “In the beginning God Created the heavens and the Earth”. They had a beginning and this is what the Bible states emphatically.
The universe is highly complex and finely tuned/designed. It’s so finely tuned that if any number of factors were altered in the smallest degree that the universe would cease to exist. If the expansion rate of the universe were any slower then it would have collapsed back onto itself and if it were faster then galaxies would not have been able to form. If the gravitational force were altered by 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000001% our sun wouldn’t exist and neither would we. Any slight variation in the speed of light and there wouldn’t be any life on Earth. These and many other factors which are just right and if altered in the mos minute way throws everything out of balance. This precision could only come about in 2 ways – Chance or an intelligent agent. In all or our known experience we have only observed intelligent being which produced such precision. There’s not a chance for chance to produce this precision. I don’t have that much faith. And again, who designed the designer is a different question and we need not know who designed the designer to know that the designer designed. It’s irrelevant. I wrote this response but you don’t need to know who made me to know that I wrote the response.
I didn’t appeal to authority to make my case but to bolster it. My case didn’t depend on the quotes. The interesting thing about these men who made these statements is that they aren’t Christians and some are even atheist.
