This is where it gets to be a hot argument. On one hand in the Bible we are told not to judge. "All have come short of the glory of God." "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Then of course the scripture you mention. I never really know how I should interact in this regard. I am definitely not without sin, and I have no business throwing stones. I tend to just silently know what the scripture says, while doing my best not to judge others. It's not an easy thing to do. I mean, should we call people out or at the very least speak on it? Should we not? I just don't know. Always seeking answers in this regard.

The oldest just turned 12. And both are girls. It is not easy because what is coming is boys, makeup, driving and all that. God help me.

People often think because the bible says you can't be gay that God hates gays he doesn't. God hates many other things fornication, disrespectful to parents, lies, ext ect. Paul says in Ephesians (I believe) after he states many sins including adultery, homosexuals, trans, and many others . Paul says and such were some of you but you were saved by the grace of God. God hates the sin , but loves the sinner

This is where my thinking falls right here. I always tell people if the conversation comes up that though any person may sin God does not hate them. Then they say that I (personally) am a hypocrite.
I usually explain this way. I do not smoke (anymore) and do not like cigarettes or the smell from them. That doesn't mean I hate smokers. I just don't like the smoke. Then the argument ensues about being born that way etc...
But yeah. It can be a tricky conversation to maintain in which to maintain civility. People default to feeling attacked even if they are not being attacked.

Well let me ask you this. Jesus said not to judge cause who is the judge? Jesus. Let me put it to you this way. If you get pulled over by a cop for doing 60 in a 40 zone and he gives you a ticket. He is he judging you? No! He is showing you the law and telling you now have to pay. That's what we do as Christians. We are supposed to call people out. Not rudely, we dont want to be like Peter cutting off ears, but still we have a duty to show people the law.

You have a good way with words there. I don't think there is anything wrong with telling someone really I guess, so much as beating someone over the head with the Bible. I guess that's where I draw my line. I think we have people like Westboro Baptist out here spreading their hateful venom. And that really has given us all a bad name.

I have known a LOT of gay people in my life. Most of whom went to church and had no problem claiming Christianity. I never really asked what they thought of that, though now after this conversation I would love to know.
