You're actually right for once;
One was only accused of a crime (by people who admitted to committing the same exact crime, so they are hardly a reliable source) and fell victim to an act of nature and his family was STILL viciously attacked by the liberal media including death threats. The other basically committed suicide and yet it's still someone else's fault.
