You'll want to use something with milliliters on it, then carefully mark it and let it melt.

You're kidding, right?

In fact, to bad for the Glabal Warmingists spiel, the glaciars should have been way more melted - and sea levels way higher - by thousands of years ago. In all other interglacials, a significantly greater area of Florida was underwater and Greenland was more ice free.

Just simple science. Ice is less dense than water...ergo it floats. If ice melts the resulting liquid will take up less space.

How this applies to all the global climate is another thing altogether, because there are other factors at play, such as plate techtonics, continental drift, erosion and such; all things that aren't measurable to any high degree of accuracy thousands of years after the fact. New Orleans appears to have rising waters when the reality is that it's a sinking land mass.

No, when that massive volume melts, it has to go somewhere. Ice is NOT 10% (or more) air.

Plate techtonics has replced continental drift, and it is measurable.
Silt from erosion is not being deposited on New Orleans like it normally would, while it piles up in the Mississippi around it, thus the differences in water levels. The river would be rerouting itself to Texas, until soil deposits causes the same there and it channels eastward. But this is being prevented by human activity & intervention.

H2O is the only compound we know of that acts this way. When it freezes it expands while all other elements condense in their solid state. If all the ice below water melted right now it would literally take up less space, space that the above water/ ice would fill. Try this at home.

And a sidenote: I'm not referring to ice presently sitting on land. That is where the surplus water that adds more volume to the oceans would come from.

Silly me, went to look it up later, because little ol' me was told in the way way back when that is was on account of it absorbing air as it froze, but then how would that occur for water frozen in a sealed container? So my bad.

Ice on land was were I was going next, since that is accumulation from air. But also, bear in mind, sea ice also includes ice from precipitation, so not all is from the surrounding water.
