You've got your numbers backward. When we put tariffs on Chinese goods, (600B) Americans pay that, not Chinese, through increased costs of goods. THAT'S THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE MEME!
Correct, use of tariffs as form of retaliation. These tariffs therefore render Chinese goods more expensive and less desirable to the suppliers/consumers, and they will look elsewhere.
