It’s a 19th century design that was perfected in the Second World War. Mine is Canadian made.
As for revolvers, I had an original colt navy back in the day but sold it off at a private auction to an American guy. Still kicking myself to this day over it as nowadays they are worth thousands. What revolvers have you shot &/or own?

I've shot a stainless steel one that I don't quite remember the name of off the top of my head. I went to the shooting range quite recently with my uncle and got to shoot that and a rifle. It was pretty fun, although I was kinda jittery at first.

Nice going! It’s always quite scary at first & takes a while to get used to. Especially if your doing 308. & up. If you really enjoy it, stick at it. It’s a massive thing in the states & there’s plenty to do with your 2nd amendment rights. Switzerland is the next best thing if you can afford it :)

Although, steer clear of the UK & France. Ranges are few & far between & always isolated upmon a hard to locate hill somewhere. Nice views though.
