Cut the orange in half, but not across the center. Go from top to bottom and then cut each section twice more the same way. Then take the ends and pull away from the fruit. IF done right the sections will separate easily. (use to pick oranges from the tress in the back yard)

Thanks for the advise, I must give that a try. You had your own orange trees? I'm strangely envious.

When I lived in Florida we had Oranges, grapefruit, lemon and lime trees.

Now I have walnut trees and I hate walnuts. Had an apple tree, but ants killed it and my pear tree split in half under the weight of the pears one year.

Now I’m hoping to plant new apple and then some cherry trees.
