I think God could have created the universe any way he choose. That being said even the Catholic church has not ruled out the possibility of evolution. The disagreement often comes about when people start eliminating God entirely from the process. Not sure how anyone can explain the universe just happening by accident.

Yeah, even though I'm religious, I kind of agree. We take the facts and try to interpret them, some including or dismissing God. Just like that one quote from "Life Of Pi" (I forgot it, but it says something about how we use what we believe in to piece together the data).

Science cannot conpletely approve nor disprove the existence of a God. I say.
