Well, I think it is incumbent on any people to protect themselves, their land and culture and especially their innocent. Waring steeped in hatred, greed or some tyrannical desire to have power over others is never desirable.

Well-put. Keep in mind, different groups of people are going to give different answers to this thought experiment.

All animals fight, some even in groups (as army’s do).
I suppose it’s just the natural order of things... or are we now that civilised that that some see ANY war as abhorrent.
All the wars ever can be justified by some and condemned by others... suppose it all depends on how you view the starting grievances.

War kills people, innocent people, and if they survive they're tormented mentally.
Taking someone's life because of a fight your leader began or went through is just cruel.
Unless it's for self-defense, which in that case isn't war but well, self-defense.
War will never be justified.
And the ones who started them should burn in the fires of You-Know-Where.
