A place if worship for over 1000 years was severely damaged. It's not exactly a happy ending

Somewhere in the bible it says not to idolize objects. Yes, it's a historic landmark, I get that. It is just a building. Nobody is trying to rebuild the Roman colosseum or the sphinx (the French military shot off the nose). Notre Dame will be rebuilt, maybe not back to it's former glory, but close to it. And, the fire will add to it's lore. Be happy nobody got killed.
