In order for war to be possible, the following requirements are necessary. Two or more people need to be at a major political, territorial or economical disagreement. The said people also need to have relatively large groups of people who are loyal to them and are willing to follow their commands, even if it means killing someone. Now, it is up to you to decide which elements are to be removed from the equation for war to stop happening.

Also, remember that the coloniezers of America and the British people spoke the same language. And they still went to war. So that wouldn't help.
