Sorry to hear that. I meant Rosie O'Donnell. I've got an old German Shepherd mix that is getting near the end. Was the kindest dog I've ever had.

Yeah, she has bad hips and i have to carry her outside because of stairs and it's getting worse. Damn irresponsible breeders. Thank you.

You can also get dog socks for her. I got some for my Lab when her back legs started to go so she didn't get sores on them.

I try to flip her over like an egg every couple hours if i don't see her do it. But I'll keep it in mind.

Thanks, OM. They are the best all around dogs. They truly have a empathy, especially towards children, that other dogs don't quite have. If you can get one from a reputable breeder. Would be nice company on long trips. Especially if you have a sleeper cab, to keep him comfy.

Hopefully you can find one with good hips. It's sad what the breeders have done.

If you can't get a shepherd, try a Doberman, they are at the top of all the positive categories, intelligence, protection etc.

I had a Weimeraner for awhile. Amazing dogs but you need someone around them 24/7. If left alone, they will bark for hours non stop. I mean literally hours without pause. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weimaraner
